Alright. It's been a while since I've written a proper review, but I think this game deserves one.

Art: 4.5 The style is really basic, but that's to be expected of retro games. However, roaming through levels of nothing but moons, stars, and wormholes eventually became a little repetitive.
Sound: 5.0 Honestly, you could've went several ways with this. Personally, I would have used a more gloomy soundtrack to emphasize that the player is really completely alone. You, however, used this really upbeat (and catchy!) music that really turned the experience around, from a desolate journey through empty space, to a hopeful return voyage to home. Kudos, man. Kudos.
Controls: 5.0 It always takes me a few seconds to get used to the controls in this type of game, but it was simple enough to do so. Still, they were simple and responsive, so no issue here.
Story: 4.0 A simple story that makes me think slightly about a druggie who crashes his car a few miles from home. I know... strange... ANYWAY, it was enough to give the game a purpose.
Gameplay: 4.0 Simple, short, and repetitive. It's the kind of game you'd play if you don't have much time at hand. I can't, however, see much replay value. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Many games on Newgrounds seem to of the "play me once" category.
Overall: 4.5

I understand you wanted a casual experience out of this, but I think you could turn this into something larger, with various dimensions, enemies, and npcs wandering through the mooniverses. Either route you choose, best of luck with your future flashes.

Wow.. Over a year since I've reviewed a game. Seems like forever ago lol.
Art: 4.0 Basic style, but it fits the game and each object and character fit together. The art feels like it belongs in the game, which is a good thing. The only thing that bothers me, for some reason, is the break between the grass and the sky. Just feels unnatural.

Sound: 4.5 Like the art, it feels right in this game. My only issue with it is a personal one: I prefer to have a choice of at least two tracks. But the sounds from the characters were good as well.

Controls: 5 Simple, but responsive. That's all anyone can ask.

Story: N/A You're a knight who runs. What's there to not understand? Lol, but a backstory would be nice.

Gameplay: 3 Don't get me wrong, i have no problem with the gameplay itself, there are just a few kinks needed to be worked out. The shield didn't really block as well as I'd hoped. The sword really wasn't even necessary because you could just outrun almost everyone in the game even before you upgrade your speed. The level system was nice, although it took awhile before I noticed real improvements. Plus, I really don't think I used the jump once.

Overall: 4

I would recommend adding maybe one or two more tracks to choose from, maybe an upgrade shop for armor and weapons, some obstacles you have to jump over (like a small barricade), and perhaps bosses that you can't run past. Good luck man. Keep it up.

Thanks for the review!

I can see what you mean with the break between the grass and sky. I'll attempt to fix that up.
I'll also try to find another gameplay track that the game will switch between, instead of one song looping over and over like it is at the moment.

I'm implementing a feature in the next version that prevents you from moving on until all enemies are cleared, along with more attacks and skills. About jumping: it isn't the most useful thing but there isn't much I can do to improve it. Although, I may add an attack involving it.

And for obstacles, I'm also currently working on adding them! And for bosses, like I said in a previous response to a review, I'm going to see if I can implement some mini-bosses every now and then that'll give you a nice bonus once defeated.

A lot better than the way I was tought.

I think that this will be good for kids to use. The librarian would get a break from trying to explain it, the children wouldn't have to listen to them drone ON and ON and ON (like I did). Now excuse me while I show this to my Internet-impaired parents.

Love these games :)

Ahh... It's been so long since I've reviewed a game... Alright, let's get started.
Art: 10 Really cute. I love to see the penguin. It may just be me, but I get an angry bird feeling from this. The background was rather plain, but as nice as you can expect from the South Pole (no penguins in the North Pole :D)
Sound: 10 Catchy. If you don't like the in-game music, you can even purchase other genres to suit your style.
Controls: 10 Simple, but responsive.
Gameplay: 10 Engaging. I didn't want to quit until I broke the wall, but wasn't able to even then.
Overall: 10 Even though, as others have pointed out, this type of game has become overused, I genuinely find these games fun to play. In my own opinion, I love this game and its predecessor. And to those who would disagree (what is your problem?!?) please just disregard this entire review, pm me as much hatemail as you want, and I'll get back to you later. For those who DO agree with me, keep on learning to fly :D.

Not too bad... *Bug Alert*

I understand it was made within an hour but it's not THE best game out there. But it is nice to see someone challenging themselves-- it'll pay off in the long run. But here's my review:
Art: 7 Nothing fancy, but it works.
Sound: 9 Nice background music that fits. I also like the shot sound.
Controls: 9 Responsive, but not too engaging.
Gameplay: 6 Simple and too easy. At least let some of the blocks shoot back.
Overall: 8 Decent fun for a few minutes. Update it, please.
** If a block appears after a shot, the shot will go right through it. Not sure if its a bug or if you just overlooked it.**

Why is it always cancer vaccines?

Nice game. I really liked it and can tell it had a bit of a "You Only Live Once" feel to it, but that has already been mentioned. For all those complaining, there is a way to start over... I'm not gonna tell you exactly but I WILL give a hint: When you play a game, the game saves the info onto your computer. Then, the next time you play, it uses it to start over from where you were. If the game can't save the info, it can't use it later. Overall, it is a really good game 10/10 5/5.

Fun for a little while.

I find this game to be fun for a little bit but then it begins to get repetitive. To improve, I recommend adding additional bat types, different weapon types, and some way to get more health and ammo. It's a good game overall and I really like the original idea. Perhaps you can give it a story (why rabbits would be fighting bats in the first place).

Epicness!

Perhaps for the next one you can add an "Implosion" weapon. It could make the planet and everyone on it implode, dealing 100 damage. And maybe add a "Black Hole" weapon that just sucks up everything it's close to. Just suggestions tho, the game's great as it is. Keep it up!

Good game.

I think this is an overall decent flash game. The music is nice and relaxing, the locations are beautiful.. the one thing I really didn't like was the short amount of interactivity. I'm not saying that this is making this a bad game, just that more interactivity ususally equals better games, especially in the case of these types of games. I do, however, like the direction you were going with the interactions. For example, the location with the 3 birds, spider and lizards, when you move your mouse over the lizard, it blends in with the tree hiding, and the music replicates this by silencing. Overall, I may be being generous with a ten, but this game deserves at least an eight. It's just one of the types of games I personally like.

So beautiful...

icrmio, you don't have to speak English to say what you mean. This just speaks for its self. The music is just so beautiful, so relaxing, honestly, I'm much happier after I played this game. It is an amazing work of art, and I hope the best for you and hope we'll see many more flashes like this one from you!
